About Us

ALCARO & ALCARO PLATING, INC. was founded in 1974. At that time, the company bought out an existing 800 sq. ft. plating shop in West Orange, New Jersey. In 1977, due to growth, the company purchased a facility in Montclair, New Jersey consisting of approximately 3,000 sq. ft. At that time ALCARO & ALCARO began using semi-automated equipment. In 1980, again due to the need for expansion, we moved to our present facility. We now have semi as well as fully automated equipment.

Anthony Alcaro, president of ALCARO & ALCARO PLATING, INC. was born in New Jersey in 1950. He attended Rutgers University where he graduated in 1973 with a B.S. degree. From 1973 to 1975, he owned an auto repair business. In 1974 Anthony Alcaro founded ALCARO & ALCARO PLATING. In the late seventies and early eighties,  he  attended advanced credited courses in electroplating at Essex County College.
